Storm Producing Rain, Strong Winds and Heavy Snow Across the Ohio Valley and the Northeast...6 to 15 Inches of Snow Expected in Cleveland Tonight...

Showers and thunderstorms continue to fall over parts of the New York City metro area this evening.  The heavy rains that moved through our area earlier today have moved into New England. Tornado watches for central and southern NJ expired at 7 p.m. Heavy, wet snow up to 12 inches will fall tonight over parts of western New York and western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and northern Ohio.  Winds gusted to over 60 mph in parts of the New York City metro area with more than one inch of rain.  A peak gust of 66 mph in Orient, LI, 63 mph was reported in Stamford,  CT, 61 mph in Jackson Heights, NY and 49 in White Plains.
