Early Snowstorm Hits Midwest and Central Rockies...

Blizzard conditions occurred today across Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas with up to 3 feet of snow and higher drifts across parts of northern Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Roads were impassable tonight due to blowing snow. This was the heaviest October snow in the Denver area in more than a decade, cancelling flights as the airport in Denver received 16 inches of snow. The surface map above indicates that the storm is located over eastern Nebraska dumping heavy snow across the upper Midwest.
