First Coastal Storm of Fall is on the Way...Strong Winds and Rain


Low pressure is forecast to move across the Ohio Valley and then re-develop into a strong low off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Coastal sections of the Northeast including NYC and Long Island metro area will also experience coastal flooding at high tide. Strong, steady northeast to east winds will blow at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 and 50 mph. Temperatures will be cool with highs only in the 50s. There may be some wet snow mixing in on Thursday night and early Friday across Orange and Putnam Counties of New York and the Poconos of northeastern Pennsylvania.
