Nor'easter to Produce Strong Winds, Heavy Rain and Coastal Flooding this Weekend from the Mid-Atlantic to the NYC Metropolitan Area this Weekend...

Low pressure is strengthening off the North Carolina coast this morning. The latest computer models are coming into agreement as the storm is forecast to track closer to the coast and is expected to move into central and southern New Jersey on Sunday. Coastal flooding, beach erosion, damaging winds, power outages, downed trees, and structural damage are expected this weekend. The storm will continue to produce rain and strong winds on Sunday as well. Guidance indicates that showers early on Monday will give way to partial clearing as the storm exits to the northeast. Up to 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected this weekend with gusts to 60 mph. High wind warnings and a Coastal Flood Advisory are in effect. Radar indicates a large area of rain off the coast which will be moving inland tonight.
