March 13-14, 2010 Major Storm for New York City Tri-State Region
This was a major storm for the NYC tri-state region with numerous reports of damage, 4 fatalities, hundreds of thousands of people without power, train outages, many downed trees and power lines and massive flooding especially in Bound Brook, NJ area. The highest rainfall total was measured in Elizabeth, NJ and the peak wind gust recorded was 75 mph at JFK Airport. More rain and gusty winds tonight from this storm system but nothing as bad as it was on Saturday. A total of 4.24 inches of rain fell in Central Park with a peak wind gust of 53 mph.
