The major winter storm that dumped 21 inches of heavy wet snow is located just south of LI early this evening. It will move into CT and NY State tonight and then gradually southward across NJ and out to sea by early Sunday. Look for occasional snow showers and flurries through Sunday with only minor additional accumulations. It will be partly sunny with temperatures around 40 on Monday and Tuesday.
