Snow Changing to Rain this Evening, Colder, Dry Weather for the Next Few Days in the New York City Metro Area...

Snow developed today late this morning and continued to fall through approximately 3:00 p.m. The snow redeveloped at about 4:00 p.m. and then mixed with and changed to rain between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. in the city. It is 36 with rain falling in Central Park at 8:00 p.m. A total of 2.6 inches of snow fell in Whitestone, Queens, 2.1 inches in Central Park today, 1.9 inches at LaGuardia Airport and 1.8 inches at Newark Airport. The weather will be sunny and cold for the next few days in the New York City Metro area. So far this month of January has been the 2nd warmest on record in Central Park.
