Second Accumulating Snowfall in Four Days in the New York City Metropolitan Area...

A fast moving low pressure system or an "Alberta Clipper" will move rapidly across Pennsylvania and New Jersey through Thursday morning.  Radar indicates light snow falling from western New York, across Pennsylvania into the New York City metro area as of midnight.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for eastern Pennsylvania, central and western New Jersey and Long Island for up to 3 inches of snow.  One to 2 inches of snow is expected for the city. It has been a colder than normal December so far in the city with near normal snowfall for the first time since December 2013.
