Heavy Rain in the East this Week, Flooding in Vermont and the Southeast/Appalachians

A ridge of high pressure over the western Atlantic will continue to pump up a moist flow of air along the eastern seaboard.  More than 4 inches of rain across parts of the Vermont led to flooding and road closures, the governor has declared a State of Emergency.  Flooding is also forecast for the Southeast and Atlanta has cancelled some of their 4th of July festivities.  The ridge of high pressure will drift westward and the heaviest rain will move westward to western Kentucky, Tennessee, Alambama, Indiana and Ohio.  Have a great holiday.
