Cold Blast of Air in the Middle of May for the Northeast...

Despite sunshine, the high temperature was 12 degrees below normal in Central Park today as the temperature only reached 58 degrees.  The gusty wind made it feel even colder.  Last year on this day it was 81 degrees in New York.  Earlier today up to 0.5" of snow fell in northern New York State in and around Lewis County.  The temperature now under clear skies at 11 PM is 38 in Somerville, NJ; 34 in Monticello, NY; 48 in Central Park; 39 in Atlantic City, NJ; 43 in White Plains, NY and 35 in Scranton, PA.  The weather will be a little milder tomorrow and a return to normal temperatures can be expected by Wednesday and Thursday.
