Two Feet of Snow in Upstate New York

The strong cyclonic circulation around the very deep low combined with high pressure across the upper Midwest has produced an intense northwest flow of air and this has produced heavy lake effect snows in upstate New York. Here are some totals received by the National Weather Service since January 2, 2010:

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY:
CHARLOTTE 13.5

WAYNE COUNTY:
WILLIAMSON 26.5
