A Very Cool July in New York City!

July 2009 is presently the 2nd coolest July on record. Through July 20th, the temperature has averaged 4.4 degrees below normal. The average temperature for the month through the 20th is 71.8 degrees. Below average temperatures have occurred on 18 out of 20 days and so far there have been no 90 degrees days this summer. The coolest July on record was back in 1888 with an average temperature of 70.7 degrees.
