Extremely Strong Storm Pounding the Northeast with Blizzard Conditions and Heavy Snow...Strong Arctic Blast to Follow...

Heavy snow continues across the Northeast this afternoon. The storm is located southeast of Long Island with a pressure of 960 millibars of 28.35 inches. Over 8 inches of snow has fallen so far over eastern Long Island. The snow has changed to rain across Cape Cod. Heavy snow is falling with temperatures in the 20s. It is 23 degrees in Central Park, 28 in Boston. Blizzard conditions are occurring along the coast. Schools are closed including the NYC schools. The storm will pound Maine and the Canadian maritime tonight. The snow will end in the NYC metro area early this evening. Bitter cold Arctic blast will follow tonight through Sunday.
