Snow Tonight for the First Day of Spring in New York City and Coastal New England...

Just like last year, there will be snow in the city for the first day of Spring.  Last March 20th in Central Park a total of 4.5 inches of snow fell. There will not be quite as much snow this year in the city but as much as 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected across central and eastern Long Island.  The storm will move northeast later today from tracking just south and east of 40/70 lat./long. by tomorrow morning.  Heavy snow up to 5 to 10 inches is expected over coastal New England including Cape Cod and Boston.  The snow should develop in the city after nightfall and continue through 8 AM Monday morning.  Temperatures will warm into the 60s by Wednesday in the city.
