Late Winter Light Snow Today in New York City

The GFS model was forecasting the potential for some snow around St. Patrick's Day for over a week - and today there was light snow from approximately noon to 6:00 p.m. in and around the New York City metro area. A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for Sussex County, New Jersey for 2 to 4 inches of snow. The snow is tapering off now in the city by 6:00 p.m. The roads and sidewalks were wet with no accumulation. The snow fell at temperatures ranging from 33 to 38 degrees today in Midtown.
