Latest Graphics for Hurricane Irene

The entire NYC metro area is on a full state of emergency and Hurricane Warning. The major imapacts will be flooding rains on already moist soils, beach erosion, coastal flooding due to storm surges of up to 5o to 10 feet and power outages due to high winds. The storm is now forecast to be slightly weaker and faster moving which is good news, however, the storm track is now further west closer to New York City and the Jersey Shore.
