Another Major Winter Storm for the NYC Metro Area, LI and Coastal New England

A strong upper-level closed low will dig across the Midwest through tomorrow generating a weak surface low and light snow. The storm that produced snow across the Southeast with very icy and snowy conditions in Atlanta will track up the coast. The upper low will transfer its energy to the coastal low rapidly intensifying a storm off the coast of North Carolina. This storm will produce heavy snow Tuesday night and Wednesday morning for NJ, NYC, southern CT and Long Island with the heaviest snow expected in central and eastern Long Island and southeast CT. Boston is also expecting a huge amount of snow with 12 to 16 inches expected. More on this storm on Tuesday.
