Additional 3 to 8 Inches of Snow Tonight for the Lower Hudson Valley with Up to 3 Inches in New York and New Jersey....Light Snow Possible on Saturday

A nor'easter now tracking across New York City this evening will produce heavy rain, snow, sleet and occasional lighting.  Very heavy snow with 1 to 3 inch rates is now falling across the Lower Hudson Valley.  The heaviest accumulations from this storm were found in the northern and western suburbs with up to 12 to 14 inches report so far with an additional 4 to 8 inches tonight.  Snow falling across Pennsylvania will move eastward resulting in an additional 1 to 3 inches in and around the city.  The storm moves into New England later tonight with strong winds in its wake gusting to over 30 mph. Another rapidly intensifying low will pass to the south of New York City on Saturday.
