Autunlike Chill in the Air Today Across Coastal Sections of the Northeast...

The unusually cool start to June is being caused by a closed, slow moving cut-off low that is circulating across the Northeast. It will drift off the coast by Wednesday but a northerly flow with rotating moisture will persist. The temperature at 11 AM is 55 in Central Park, 51 in Boston and 49 in Worcester, MA. A northeast wind combined with scattered areas of rain has kept temperatures in the 50s this morning near the coast.
